“Bewitched: Styles at the Time of the Salem Witch Trials” In-Person
Do you love learning about the Salem Witch Trials of the 1690s? Join us for an afternoon of discovering what the folks of Salem, MA were wearing during this time and how their styles differed from those worn by the people of Europe and other areas. We will explore the various aspects of dress for men and women of that time, while viewing images and movie clips to supplement our discussion. Please spend your afternoon with us and get into the Halloween spirit!
Karen (Ren) Antonowicz received her Master’s Degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design, with a concentration in Historic Costume & Textiles from the University of RI. She then taught History of Fashion and other courses full time at the college level for 13 years, and taught part time in the CE Program at the RI School of Design. Spirits of Fashion was developed by Ren as a vehicle for conducting these various lectures and workshops on all eras of Fashion History.
