Yin Yoga: Hips In-Person
Yin Yoga is slow-paced style of yoga, emphasizing long holds and breathwork. The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, its goals are awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. In general, the poses of Yin Yoga are performed with little muscular exertion. Join Rachel for one or all four of the classes in this series. Please bring a mat and a towel or blanket to lay on and dress in warm, comfortable and unrestricted clothes. No experience is necessary, simply an open mind. If you have a strap (even a bathrobe strap) and a block or blanket feel free to bring it to help deepen your experience.
*Rachel will guide you through 5-6 poses which we will hold for a signficant amount of time focusing on clearing our minds and focusing on the breath. Class will end with a short guided meditation.
